If pressed the arrow down button and changed to another channel I just needed to press the arrow down button again to return to the previous channel which will have been recording. I've got a non-DirecTV Tivo and just got DirectTV. Is there a way I can use the TIVO with the DTV box and watch a different channel than I'm recording?
OK. Let's complicate things. I have an HDTV DirecTV unit. Do I need two receivers - one to get HD and the other to use with TIVO? Also, do I have to get an HDTV DirecTV TIVO if I want HD service and the ability to use a TIVO?
